Caused Feeding issues.

Written on Aug 30, 2020

Recently, I built a Mossberg 930 with a bunch of aftermarket accessories, and immediately had failures to feed and failures to eject. I couldn’t figure out what was wrong for the life of me. I kept thinking it was something with the magazine, gas system, or barrel, I never thought it was this mount. As soon as I took the mount off and put the stock retaining pins in, the gun cycled flawlessly. This side saddle/rail mount pinched the receiver and caused malfunctions. If you loosen up the threaded retaining pins to where the gun will actually cycle, the mount becomes so loose that there is no way you’ll retain any sort of zero. If you’re luck enough to keep a somewhat decent zero, just know that the pins will walk out over time (I lost one). Save yourself money and don’t buy this thing.
