Bought the light a year ago. Tested it, worked fine. Wasn't super happy with how short the longest switch adapter was. I do not have small hands at all, but I have to shift my grip to reach the switch for momentary on\off. Really not a good idea, but since this was for a house weapon I sucked it up. Put it in my speed safe and forgot about it. Heard a noise one night and went for the weapon. Light wouldn't work. No problem, it was a false alarm. Switched out the batteries and it still wouldn't work. Switched them again and still now working (different brands BTW). I hit the switch a bunch of times out of frustration and it suddenly worked. I assumed it was me and that I didn't have the bezel properly rotated. Well, the other night we had a murder on our street and I wanted the weapon on my nightstand. Tried the light and it didn't work again. Hit the switch a bunch of times and the right side switch would turn on dim, the left side switch would turn on bright. It only worked on momentary, not staying on. Then it died again. Really disappointed and this was for critical use, not for show, and it failed. Chinese junk.
I paid $42 from OP for this and was expecting decent quality. I also bought the military compass by the same manufacturer at the same time. Both are lower quality than expected. Regarding the wrist compass: It is plastic (housing and the "crystal") and sits proud on your wrist. I'm afraid to wear it because it is so flimsy that one accidental strike from a branch or something else hard, and it's going to break. I thought it would have a metal housing. The band is also very thin, as well as narrow. It did operate fine, but I know it will break.
I bought this pair and the same thing in 10x30. The 10x30 pair are somewhat pointless to use with glasses on. They are both rated at having a 15.5mm eye relief, per the sides of the boxes they came in. The 8x are more eyeglasses wearer friendly, but not perfect by any means. I think a minimum of 16mm would be better for me, but these do work and I probably will keep them. The glass quality is good and they are clear and pretty bright. I'm not a binoculars-guy so, take my opinion with a grain of salt. However, I do a lot of shooting and do understand optics clarity. As someone who has migraines, I absolutely can't look through junk glass, be it a rifle scope or binos. This is why I've always used Leupold, Zeiss, and Docter scopes. They are affordable and are well made. I wish I could spend the money on Swarovski or Nightforce, but I can't, but fortunately there is Zeiss and Leupold. Even there lower end stuff, which I buy, is excellent. I'm sure they aren't as good as the big boys, but you'd never know it from my targets or my ability to ID a bird. The size is compact and packable, but not a pocket binocular. They are light and not bulky. Mine came with a soft case and a carry strap.
