Olight PL-Mini Valkyrie

Written on May 01, 2018

This Olight PL-Mini Valkyrie is a great little compact light! Fits perfectly on the Glock 19. The light does not extend pass the muzzle. Sits perfectly flushed with the muzzle. The quick detach is convenient to take the light on and off the pistol. The charging port is on the bottom of the light so there is no need to remove the light to charge. The charger is magnetic and is a very convenient/ clever design. Similar to the MacBook Pro's chargers. The price point is spot on, and very competitive to Surefire and Streamlight. I highly recommend you try this light out if you're in the market for a good lower cost alternative to Surefire or Streamlight.

Comparable to the Aimpoint T1

Written on Aug 16, 2016

Very nice red dot for the price. Comparable to the Aimpoint T1. Very light weight, small foot print, and great battery life. I bought this to replace an Eotech. Primary Arms is a great company to deal with if you ever have any issues in the future. Highly recommended!

Very bright sight, BUT....

Written on Jul 31, 2015

This fiber optic sight is very unique compared to all the other standard fiber optic sight systems. It is an all-in-one sight so the front sight is not needed! Installation is very simple with the screws provided. It is very bright when shooting outdoors or indoors with good lighting. However, the fiber optic is pretty dim in low light settings as to be expected. I have it mounted on a Glock 19 with a viridian pistol light. The sight is slightly visible in a dark room with the viridian pistol light on. I would recommend this sight for outdoor range/ competition style shooting, but I wouldn't recommend this for self defense type scenarios because of the possibility of shooting in low light settings.

Streamlight TLR-1 EXCELLENT Value!

Written on Feb 11, 2015

I purchased the Streamlight TLR-1 package that came with 12 of the Streamlight CR123 batteries for $116 shipped (Dec. 2014). It is a very robust little light with 300 lumens. 300 Lumens is more than enough light for indoor use. I can't imagine the HL series that comes with the 600 lumens. I mounted this on a glock 35 with ease. It's very easy to use with the ambidextrous toggle switch. I also mounted this (using the 1913 key) on my AR-15 rail. This light is very compact, light weight, and easy to use. And for the price, I think it's a much better value than their Surefire counter parts. I'm not saying Surefire is not a good product, but for the price. The Streamlight is definitely worth looking at. I highly recommend this light.

JP Enterprises 45 Degree Offset Adaptor

Written on Nov 11, 2014

I mounted a Trijicon RMR on this angle mount on the quad rail of my AR15. The mount is very sturdy. It is very high in quality. I highly recommend it for the price. It's at a lower price point compared to the Trijicon brand, and does the job well. Optics Planet had the best pricing at the time. If you want to mount your red dot at an angle, this is probably your best option for the price.
