Solid Mount. Solid Accessories.

Written on Mar 02, 2025

Follow the recommended torque specs, and in return you get a solid optics mount. The I-Beam like structure is not gonna bend not gonna break should you encounter warfare along the way.

Accessorize with offset optics. Levels. Its gonna be right, it's gonna be good. The First Time. Repetilia accessories dont fit these Badger Ordnance mounts, and BA mounts dont fit Reptilia mounts.

Exactly What You Expect of a Premium Barrel.

Used with an AP AR15 Upper. Barrel is 18" Hybrid in 223 Wylde 1:8 Rifle length gas. M4 feedramps aligned exactly side to side and to the correct depth. Gas port diameter measures at 0.092", plenty for supers. Barrel pin aligns exactly with gas port, but barrel label (rolled marks) are offset slightly from center. Do not use for centering up. Muzzle thread 1/2x28 excellent cut and 5/8" to shoulder. Muzzle flat faced with no crown. 0.75" gas block is 1 7/8" long. One dimple exactly opposite the gas port. Nice very deep black nitride. Well made high quality manufacture.

Steel is the Best Gage.

These are hardened, precision ground steel rods. Straight to +/- 0.001" over entire 17" length. Don't settle for the carbon fiber rods at +/- 0.003" straightness. Not Good Enough. These Geissele rods are best.

Difficult to Clean, difficult to time.

Written on Dec 15, 2019

I have both the Adam's (AA) and the Superlative Arms (SA) mid, adjustable, lo pro kits mounted. They both work well. I prefer the Superlative kits for these reasons: 1) The SA kit allows for the removal and cleaning of the op rod and spring without dismounting the gas block. With the AA kit, one must take off the gas block to remove / replace the op rod and spring. The AA gas block requires a hydraulic press to install or remove it, the SA kit can be obtained with a clamp on gas block. 2) The SA kit will allow the use of many more different free float rail systems. There is no dependence on what is a highly customized barrel nut as in the AA kit. The AA barrel nut places the rod "pass thru" at about every 20 degrees. Must use non-supplied shims, or gorilla the torque and risk distorting the barrel nut. 3) The AA kit's dependence on the use of the milspec barrel nut, or their proprietary barrel nut, forces the selection of the AA free float rail system as the only "affordable" option. AA lists others on their website, but most use a GI barrel nut, or cost a bunch of money. My AA rail had alignment issues, I sent it back. The AA system does have the op rod spring outside of the gas flow, and so is protected from it. The SA kit has the op rod spring in the high temp gas flow, so there's a question how many firing cycles it will withstand before needing replacement.
