Yes, it is very expense for something that is just going to hold your binoculars. However, I have purchased and used many adapters over the years and can assure that this is without question the best there is. You don't have to take your binos apart to attach to this unit and it will hold just about any size and style of bino made. I switch between my 10 and 15 power binos several times a day while I am scouting or hunting and this unit makes it quick and easy to do. I only wish I had bought this unit first and had not spent all that money on other units that just did come near the ease of use and versatility of this unit.
