I researched for months on AR(CMMG MK47) optics for my application and always came back to ACOGS. But the price! Finally I gave in and hotdahm I don't regret it. Best big chunk of change I ever spent. This thing is amazing on my CMMG Mutant MK47 7.62x39. With my bad eye sight I'm ding'n AR500 plates out 200 yards consistently with follow up shots that should be like shooting a .22 rifle. With 15-18 years life on the tritium for night and the fiber optic for the day my Green Chevron is always bright and always on without batteries. Lifetime warranty to boot you can't beat the Quality and toughness of this precision piece of aluminum.

So far the coat is working great. I've knocked the ACOG on a few things and no issues.The thin small scope coat that comes with the ACOG is a joke compared this. For the price this thing is surprisingly well made and fits the ACOG perfect. I'll always use one on my ACOGS.
