Good scope, at a great price. Mounted this on a Rem 700 5R in 6.5 Creedmoor, and zeroed scope easily. I have shot paper at 800 yds, and scope was good, but not great, at that range. The focus at infinity on adjustable objective not quite clear, but useable, at 800 yards. Installed the zero stop shims provided by Athlon, and they work quite well. If you don’t want to spend a fortune on long range scope, get this one and get started. You won’t regret it unless you need perfection and an empty wallet.

These rings are solid. They did need to be aligned and lapped, but I do that to all scope rings. After tweaking they were very sturdy, and the finish was very close to that of Remington Cerakoted stainless barrel.

EGW HD Picatinny 20 MOA rail

I bought the standard version and returned it to purchase HD version. Standard version was not to my liking. HD version was heavy duty, and was to be installed on Rem 700. Long story short, it needed to be bedded. When front screws were installed there was a major gap between receiver and rail in the rear. Customer service stated ’get some bedding compound’ and that was their response. They advertise to be precision oriented, Made in USA, quality product. Remington has been making the 700 BDL forever, and they tell me to get bedding compound and blamed it on the gun. You decide what to buy... They did offer to accept return for refund after it was bedded, after I complained, but they were too late in their response as it was already done by gunsmith at additional cost to me.
