So, as others have posted, if you're installing this on a Maverick, it will require an additional slide tube and nut to install the fore end. Now once you're tube is in hand, the front stock piece will be super tight. I was installing this on a Maverick 88 and at first, I risked cross-threading my nut on the 6-5/8 tube I chose for my slide (you can go longer with the included adapter, but it is a second piece) multiple times. It was due to the slight offset of the molded poly. Once I saw the issue, I was able to pull slightly on the tube and thread the nut on enough to guide itself onto the tube straight. I actually appreciate this as the slide assembly now feels very rigid as opposed to a tube/stock assembly I have from ATI I have on my 500.
The rear buttstock went on as easy as any other and I really appreciate the added recoil pad. The hand grip is additionally solid and should prove easy to hold in action. Overall, this is by far the best shotgun stock of my two and I intend to replace my ATI stock with this same option for my 500. I opted for the shorter slide tube and I am actually glad I did. It will be sufficient on the slide assembly and it does not require adding the adapter, which although looks fine, seems to be a breaking point.
