HEAVY duty
Written on Oct 18, 2023
This little thing is a tank, but it's very heavy for something so small. T-Rex sling went right in with BCM QD fittings, no problems with function at all, I just wish they used lighter materials to make it, and that's the only reason I gave it four stars. It's branded BCM, but the underside shows it's made by Midwest Industries, so yeah it's good as nearly everything of theirs is.

Well known as one of the very best charging handles out there
Written on Oct 18, 2023
I have three of these, two black and one of the fancy nickel phosphate ones. The nickel one matches all the other nickel, stainless, and raw titanium components, it looks great. All of them have a good fit, went in no problem, and function smooth as they should.

WMD Guns AR-15 Forward Assist Assembly
I build my rifle with all controls in nickel boron, nickel phosphate, or raw titanium, so this forward assist was one of the last pieces to have it all match. Match it does, and it's great in function as well, tad smoother than the one that was in there.

V Seven Titanium Ar-15 Port Door
The finish on the port door matches NiB finished components great, it's not super bright and shiny as the V Seven takedown and pivot pins are. This has more of the medium gray matte finish that their A2 comp, mag release, and bolt catch have. It also matches the nickel phosphate Radian Raptor charging handle and the NiB-X bolts out there. The fit and everything about it is perfect. I prefer Aero receivers, but upgrade everything that goes on and inside them, their chalky crappy finish on port doors and other small components sucks lol. This port door fits and functions flawlessly.

Toughest bolt on the market

Sharps Rifle Company Xtreme Performance Bolt
As mentioned in the other reviews, S7 tool steel has twice the tensile strength, but it also has far more impact strength. It's very unlikely you'll shear off any lugs on this thing. I have a Sharp's XPB bolt and carrier already, but snagged another bolt to put in a WDR titanium carrier. Light carriers move much faster, so having a bolt that can take more stress only makes sense to me. No problems with tolerances, passed headspace checks on a custom Black Hole barrel as well as a cheaper Faxon Gunner barrel. One thing you might consider is a extractor upgrade spring and o-ring kit from BCM, I'm pretty sure Sharp's only uses an o-ring, so the spring could help if you're out in very cold weather and have extraction issues.

Fair mil-spec style ambi safety

Review for
CMMG, Inc Ambidextrous Safety Selector Kit
This safety has equal long sized levers on each side, and does operate smoothly. The only bad thing is they stick out pretty far from the receiver, I put the lever ends in a vice and canted them slightly back closer to the receiver and they still bend outwards. They're spaced out from the receiver quite a bit from the shaft, but the levers also bend even further from the receiver face. I guess that's good if you have a heavier and thicker billet receiver, but it's borderline too far out for forged/Aero receivers. They do operate rather smooth and with a very satisfying snap/click, so I have nothing bad to say about their operation.

Decent ACOG mount with a couple drawbacks
Written on Oct 09, 2023
So the good, it's a comfortable height and it's high enough to use some of the rail underneath. This mount obviously is far less robust than the stock Colt style mount, and the clamp and whole mount isn't as good as the Midwest one, the clamp in all honesty sucks sticking out so far and might bend or break far easier from vertical impacts. Only buy this mount if you can't physically get a proper sight picture or need the extra rail space, otherwise it's not worth it at all and looks rather goofy installed. A piggybacked RMR would also sit too high using this mount imo, so you'd want to run a offset sight and then lose the weight savings over the Colt style mount. The stock Colt style mount or Midwest mounts are likely the best options for the vast majority of people.

Excellent optic
Written on Sep 30, 2023
I'm running this on a 45 offset with a M4 ACOG, which works very well as both have a kill flash. I thought it would be rather dumb to piggyback a RMR or similar when it'll flash and emit. The optic itself works great and seems very robust and reliable with clear picture and happy medium sized dot (which can be toggled to the big 65 MOA ring if necessary). Spending 3x as much for a T-2 seems like a ripoff to me in comparison. ACOG's are worth that sort of money, but 900 for a dot is rather absurd imo, it's not the 00's anymore. I first tried to snag a titanium version, but it would've taken months, so I cancelled the order and got this one instead. The 7000 series aluminum one is plenty good and saves you the $100.

Premium buffer spring but stinky
Written on Sep 19, 2023
These are superb in function and quality, but very stinky when you get them. The spring will have a strong chemical smell for quite some time, so if you have time you might want to air it out for a while out of the container. By strong I mean VERY STRONG, THEY STINK lol. Your hands will stink after handling them the slightest bit too, you'll want to wash them with soap and water well after handling. I've ordered a few of these through OP and Geissele directly, they always STINK, but oh man are they ever worth it.

Bravo Company MFG Gunfighter Grip Mod 2
I switched out my Magpul grip that came with a lower parts kit for this one, and I have to say it's many times better. No missing parts, including the small lock washer for the mounting bolt, which was missing for the Magpul grip prior. The added piece for integrated trigger guards works flawlessly with Aero M4E1 lowers, and both that piece and all the backstrap pieces have a very solid mounting system. Basically they all slide into a track from the top, so they cannot fall off or be removed unless the grip is uninstalled from your rifle. No rattles, and the grip itself feels incredibly beefy like it's machined from a heavy delrin. There's no flex picking up your rifle from just the grip, it doesn't feel like Tupperware plastic as the Magpul grips do. The storage compartment is VERY tight and secure. BCM really did a good job designing this thing, I'm impressed.
