Close to perfection

Written on Jun 07, 2025

I've tried several different 1913 stocks, and this one is the closest to perfect. There is significantly more adjustable length of pull than I thought there would be, making my gun more comfortable to shoulder. It also has a great weight to counterbalance a front heavy rifle, unlike some of the lightweight aluminum stocks out there. It has QD attachment points everywhere, a very tight lock up on the rail with no wiggle, and the butt-pad is very thick and fits my shoulder. The only thing I could nit-pick on this stock, which is minor, is the adjustable cheekpiece that only has a low and high position. If the cheekpiece had a little more adjustability, with a forward and back position, or even just a mid-height position, this would be the perfect stock. Overall, definitely recommend this stock.

Surprisingly Good

Written on Oct 19, 2021

I am so unbelievably surprised by the quality of this offset mount. I wasn't expecting much from such a cheap mount, but it has proven itself. The RMR mounting holes and studs are exactly where they should be. When mounted on my rail, my red dot sits high enough to see over my weapon mounted light, without sitting ridiculously high. When switching from LPVO to red dot, the transition is smooth and easy since this is at the perfect height. After a few hundred rounds down barrel, I haven't had any issues with this mount coming loose or breaking. Like I said, it's surprisingly good.

Heat sensitive

Written on Oct 16, 2021

This barrel is extremely heat sensitive, as someone wrote before. I got the 11.5” barrel and put it into an Aero upper with an aero gas block and had an OSS suppressor on it. When shooting cold, I could get ~1 MOA groups. However, after 15-20 rounds, my groups started opening up dramatically. I waited until I had this barrel for a year and put ~2,000 rounds through it to leave this review. I’ve tried red dots and high end LPVO’s with it as well, and there is a noticeable change in accuracy once the barrel heats up. The other issue I had with this barrel is how hard it was to find a handguard that was long enough to cover the gas block, but short enough to not interfere with the muzzle device. I would not recommend this barrel.

Surprisingly good

Written on Sep 19, 2021

I’ve tried DPM spring kits before with mixed results, so I wasn’t expecting much from this kit. However, it surprised me with how much this kit reduced felt recoil. There was an immediately noticeable decrease in felt recoil and I was able to get back on target for follow up shots quicker. With a red dot on my 43x, this allowed extremely fast follow up sight acquisition for my next shot.
