The glass is about average for a scope that is made in China. However even the sale price is way too high for being built in China. My mistake for being gullable and believing internet reviews stating the Riton X5 series was made in Japan. It clearly states "Made in China" on the bottom of the scope right below the model and serial number. This was my first and my last purchase of Riton brand anything.
