Just pull the trigger (pun intended)

Written on Oct 14, 2025

With a little help from some YouTube videos I had this trigger out of the box and installed in less than 15 minutes. Have not sent rounds down range yet but a couple functions checks and dry fire this trigger is crisp, clean break, nice reset.

Does what you need it to

Bought this red dot initially for my AR pistol setup—10.5” barrel, nothing fancy—and eventually slapped it on my full-length M&P Sport II. Honestly didn’t expect much. Thought it’d be another “budget optic” I’d regret. Turns out? It works. Really well. Like, suspiciously well for something in this price range.

Dot’s a clean 2 MOA. Not starbursting, not shaped like a diseased jellybean. The shake awake actually functions, unlike some brands that claim it and give you a seizure instead. Adjustments are tactile, brightness levels are spaced right, and the night vision settings actually do something—I run dual-tube NODs and the dot shows up without lighting up the entire tube like a Christmas tree. That’s rare for this price point and a big win.

Would I take it into combat? No, not quite yet anyway. But if it keeps holding up like this after a few thousand rounds and maybe a can hanging off the front, I might start rethinking that answer.

Plan is to buy another one and throw it back on the pistol once my PSA lower gets back. That’s how much I trust it. No hype, no tier-one LARPing, just a solid red dot that actually stays zeroed and doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not.

If you’re the kind of person who thinks everything under $600 is trash, go buy your Gucci dot and leave the rest of us alone. But if you want a red dot that puts in the work without demanding a promposal, this thing’s worth it.
