Review for
KE Arms Ambidextrous Selector
I haven't had too much experience with purchasing different safety selectors, only the standard mil-spec that comes with an AR, a strikes industry safety selector, and then this one. I thought I loved the strike industries safety selector and its unique design that at first seemed to improve the ease of use but after purchasing KE Arms safety selector dude I was wrong! It has a 45 and 90 degree throttle, it has a nice audible and tactile click, and in my opinion is very smooth. The only problem i may have is that at times i feel my thumb rubbing against the ambi safety making it slightly annoying but easy to ignore- if the ambi side was shorter or without that little bump it may be more comfortable- not that it is uncomfortabel though.
Another reviewer said that it was too easy to accidentally switch from safe to fire and i can potentially see that if you are in a very intense situation in which the safety selector is rubbing against something, i dont personally find that a problem - i always have my hand on the grip and it doesnt brush anything even with a sling but that extra sense of safety is nice to have- but i have noticed from other safety selectors (other than milspec) that they tend to be lighter in how much force you need to switch between fire/safe so dont know what to say there.
