Solid rings for picatinny rail

These rings are solid and I have no doubt they will not negatively affect the zero on my scope. The only negative about these rings may be a figment of my imagination, but as I tighten the rail nut, the rings seem to rise just a few thousanths of an inch. I loosened them up several times and watched to rings drop again. Once tight though, there is no movement at all and the "rise" may very well be the rings aligning with the base. Otherwise they are great rings for the money.

Warne Savage Rifle Scope Mounting Base
I ordered this base with trepidation because it went on a Savage model 10 benchrest rifle. This rifle is a range puppy and is far too heavy to be a sporting rifle. So I wanted the best base I could afford. When I mounted the base, I used some plasti-gauge under the base to see if it contacted the receiver evenly, and it did. I mounted a vortex scope which is fairly heavy. At the range once I got the rifle zeroed, all my groups were under an inch at 100 yards, which is not saying all that much for a rig like this. I believe the base is solid and the rifle will shoot as well as I am able to shoot. I would buy this base for other rifles until I have more money to burn on a base, which may or may not perfom better.
