The snap caps in .223/5.56 work as advertised. They protect the firing pin from damage and are good for dry fire practice (e.g. trigger pull, loading magazines, clearing malfunctions, ejections, etc). Highly recommended.

These snap caps are excellent for dry fire practice. They fit in magazines, cycle (manually) with no problems and protect the firearm from damage. I've used them on several firearms and they have held up really well.
