Not an out of the box solution
Written on May 26, 2026
Promises made, promises broken. I think its actually impossible for a manufacturer to make an FRT like this and have it work without modification. First off, the product claims you can use it with certain model Geiselle triggers and certain lowers. I checked compatibility and purchased a trigger and lower on the compatibility list. Next, install, I followed the video (which by the way notes that grinding the trigger is likely needed if issues occur during install). First issue was in semi pulling the trigger there was a delay until it fired. Next, the bolt would bind to the FRT arm and would get stuck in the buffer tube. The only option would be to grind on the FRT lever, but at this point its clear its going back as a return. Avoid this lever, its far from ready for the market. Ive tried every one of these products and Rare breed is the only one that works out of the box but the semi trigger is awful.

A cheap option but not a good one
Written on Apr 16, 2026
The mount is garbage and you will need to buy a scalarworks or something decent to ensure a proper mount. The optic is not durable and has plastic covers front and back that scratch instantly causing issues with the view. I have concerns if it could survive a drop test. Field of view is good for a mailbox type optic. Though its enclosed glare in full sun is an issue. I see artifacts of the emitter when full sun hits the back window. Pros are its cheap, but I wish I had just saved up a few hundred more to get something that I would not be thinking of replacing after a couple months.

A cheap chinese option but be ready for the issues

Lets start with the pros.
-price
-gold dot option
Thats about it. The unit is not that durable. I would be hesitant to drop and expect it to work afterwards. Plastic covers scratch instantly and then must be opened for a clear view. The enclosed emitter is subject to glare issues in full sun and there are strange reflections from the emitter and emitter box into the plane of view. It might be good for a cheap pistol build but as a primary optic on a 9mm sub or AR build? Keep looking.

Product is discontinued, dont buy it

Build quality is high, size is perfect for pistols. Light is weaker than advertised and laser is decent overall. The main issue with this item is you get one battery, and you will not be able to buy another because this product was discontinued by Surefire. I do not recommend this product with one battery that lasts 25 mins.

OpticsPlanet Exclusive Franklin Armory BFSIII AR-C1 Trigger - Binary Firing System for AR Platforms
Troublesome to keep running. Got it installed and passed function tests. Took to the range and got a few rounds out of the mag binary, then it failed. I took it apart and got it working again, but it failed shortly after. Fostek is much easier to deal with.

Tried all the trick, reinstall, factory hammer etc. Its just not reliable for me. Got it to work a few times only to have it fail shortly after. Im going to try the echo instead and see how it goes.

OTTO Engineering NoizeBarrier Range SA
A really good copy of a peltor set up with a much lower price tag. unfortunately my first set had a defective right ear (always crackling when on). Sent back for a replacement. OP made that easy. Hope it doesn't have the same issue with pair #2.

Trijicon SRO Mounting Kit
Its literally just two screws. No base plate. I can get these at the HW store. Shame on triji for not just including what you need with the SRO. You should consider just getting what you need elsewhere.
