I had .22 and 5.56 AR-15 rifles before I decided to try hunting for the first time. I opted for .308 for multiple practicality considerations, while thinking it would not be "too big" to handle (female, age 50). Unfortunately, I found my rifle had more recoil than I was expecting, interfering with my ability to practice. I could tolerate 10 rounds before my shoulder would strongly object. To me, the .308 with basic 150 gr cartridges felt like my 12g shotgun. My rifle came with a cheap lightweight stock, my first attempt to absorb recoil was upgrading to a heavier aftermarket stock, the difference was marginal at best. I looked into a supressor but that is over budget. A brake was attainable. There are fewer .30 cal brakes around in 1/2 x 28 thread pattern, the Hypertap is among 5 or 6 in-stock brakes I could find without need for an adapter. I picked the Hypertap from my collected line-up because it had easy DIY installation combined with plenty of positive performance reviews, I did't know to what extent it could improve my experience before it was delivered. The Hypertap design concept is very good all around; clear installation directions, no guesswork, AMAZING plug-and-play performance! No impact on accuracy. With the Hypertap I can now can keep my eye on the paper through LPVO after firing. I don't think my .308 recoil feels any worse than my AR-15 now. I put this brake on my Weatherby Vanguard .308 and the difference in recoil is night and day. Now when I shoot this gun it feels about the same as my AR15, and I can stay on target focus in the optic. The brake is not heavy or bulky shaped, it’s barely noticeable. It mounted to my 1/2x28 threads smoothly with the included timing nut and adjustment wrenches and instructions making installation easy. People say that brakes in general make a gun obnoxiously loud. I can’t confirm or contradict that from a bystander perspective but positioned from behind the trigger, with my same ear protection, I have not noticed any difference.

I put this on a Weatherby Vanguard (Obsidian) chambered .308 Winchester. This is my budget minded first hunting rifle. I was looking to add some modern sport rifle features without cloning my AR15 or otherwise abandoning a conventional bolt action silhouette altogether. The aesthetics and features of the Archangel stock combined with its price point seemed a good fit. Installation of the stock could not be easier, two screws. The stock was straight and true, the barrel laid right down floating centered with no adjustments required. The synthetic material of the Archangel stock is quite robust, solid, and HEAVY at 4.8 lbs. reading product specs on its weight didn’t prepare me for actual handling of the stock, this girl is Thicc. There’s substantial mass but it is also carved out in all the right ways. It feels very natural in hand, the pistol grip fills the palm ideally, the forend gives plenty to hold onto and a lot of heat insulation under the barrel. I love the off-hand hook… it’s just made with pleasing ergonomics. It makes shooting the gun feel naturally fun. Really awesome mass for recoil mitigation when range shooting, might be a bit too much if you need to trek around a ways with this gun. Between this stock, a compact scope and a brake, my gun bloated over 12 pounds before dessert. Qd sling mounts were a must for me, this stock has ambi options on the butt end, and the forward QD is 6 o’clock/bottom mounted like traditional rifle slings. I like the tool-less a

I replaced the factory, mil-spec handle on a Smith & Wesson MP15 sport III. This BCM handle has improved my enjoyment of the rifle overall. I had frequent problems short-charging with the mil-spec handle. The larger handle on the BCM is far easier to grab and give a strong, full pull, eliminating my user-error malfunctions. The latches on the BCM also snap and hold much more securely. I had zero previous experience on how little or much exchanging a charging handle may alter how an AR feels or functions and I am not sure how much money it is necessary to spend to get a better feel vs what extra I may be paying for the reputation of the name stamped on the product; that is a question I still can't factually answer, but after swapping to the BCM handle, I will state that the change was a significant improvement in my use case. For the outcome I experienced, expressed as how much more I enjoy my rifle, I think the ratio of dollar to performance was pretty darn good and I'm glad I tried it. Oh and as a side bonus, I do think the aesthetics of the BCM handle are a big upgrade over the stock handle.

Got a Maverick 88 12g and wanted a padded stock I could use QD sling attachment and keep a short length of pull, this met those requirements. Instructions are clear, adapters for each compatible shotgun are included in the box. Installation was easy. It’s solid in feel, tight/no wiggle. I find the overall ergonomics to be comfortable. It has an adjustable cheek riser, the size of the screw travel slots are not very long, maybe like 3/4 inch? I think it looks decent, for a “poverty tier” home defense shotgun this is a perfect upgrade, adds a little more comfort against recoil and some size flexibility that is helpful for women and multi-user situations…all with out being too expensive for the gun it’s being put on. The finish level isn’t what you would probably choose for a higher quality gun, I had to file off a few bits of excess polymer at the molding seams for example, and you would probably want a model very specific for your gun, on my Maverick there is a small amount of space between the front part of the stock’s pistol grip and the back part of the gun’s trigger guard. It doesn’t affect the function or feel of either, it’s just not a perfect match if that bothers you. I got FDE to match up with the Mavericks’s original furniture, it’s nearly identical, close enough that you can’t spot any difference between forend and stock when installed. Do you need this? Does it perform a significant functional service? To be honest, I'd say no on both counts. Is it overpriced? When you add the cost of this mask plus the necessary MOJO Mag-well grip, definately. Would I buy it again? HECK YEAH! the combo looks freaking glorious on the gun. It's too bad there isn't an option to upload a reviwer photo because you need to see it all put together to fully appreciate the awesomeness. Purely an aesthetic add-on, just wanted more FDE color on my budget AR without having to get anything Cerakoted, this offered color plus imitation Crusader righteousness. Don't try to justify, just buy them.

Again, be aware, as other reviewers said: This is only for the MASK, that fits on a separately sold item. There is a misleading Q&A response that states both peices come together when they infact DO NOT. I had ordered only the mask at first due to that Q&A response and was disappointed to find out an additional purchase was required to use it. This single mask item is for this reason overpriced...but I still love it on my gun.

Do you need this? Does it perform a significant functional service? To be honest, I'd say not on both counts. Is it overpriced? When you add the cost of the replacement mask- most definately. Would I buy it again? HECK YEAH! I got this, the base well cover grip, plus the optional Crusader accessory mask and the combo looks glorious. The material is sturdy, they stay in place on the rail well, the FDE color is spot on. What is the problem? The rear sight aperature. There are two apperatures sizes to flip between but the "large" is actually tiny and I don't believe that is the design intention. The large apperature has an irregular inner edge, it looks as though the body wasn't cast quite right, as if too much of the polymer material was poured into the mold and the excess pooled into the bottom of the bowl of the large aperature and nobody went back to clean up the mess. If they hadn't been a "final sale" item I would have returned them. If I can't open the larger rear aperature enough with a fine point file to be usable they'll be tossed as a total loss. I was trying to save a little money after having bought the metal Magpul MBUS Pros for my other gun, I have other FAB Defense accessories that I have been pleased with, but these were a total disappointment. I wish now that I had at least gone for the polymer Magpul MBUS sights instead.

Had a more expensive red dot that I didn’t like as much. Gives all the perks of wider scope of vision and quicker targeting without breaking the bank. Its study, holds zero. Brightness settings adequate for my aged eyes. Can’t comment on battery life yet. Liked the quality on this one well enough I bought the AT3 LEOS for another rifle. I think AT3 makes a good product.

Lots of cushion, has a QD adapter, easy to adjust, good solid feel. My favorite stock so far.
