I returned a Crimson Trace unit (too small and hard) before buying this which I am keeping. The lasers are about the same between the two, nice in the shade and at night, useless outside in bright sunlight.
The guts of this unit mounts to the frame and does not move when you remove the rubber grip to change the battery. The rubber grip itself is a nice size fitting three fingers and is soft enough to grab.

Worked with all the 40 S&W parts. Ejector, extractor, bolt, magazine, recoil spring, all the 40 S&W parts worked with 9mm. Even kept the Red Dot zero! Who'd a thunk?
