Updated Review For This Item - Gen 4 Glock 17 Stainless Guide Rod
Written on Nov 06, 2023
My other review describes what happened with this during use, but the short story is, the spring flew out the front of the slide when firing the weapon. Thought I fixed the issue, but it occurred again yesterday. Except this time, the muzzle end cap bent slightly from impacting the inside of the slide and now it's unusable. I contacted Lone Wolf Distributors directly, provided them with pictures and it was determined the washer that sits in the slide recess was missing from the unit I received. Now, either it came from LWD that way, or Optics Planet sent me one that had been previously returned (washer removed). Either way, LWD offered to send me a replacement unit FREE.
I'm rating 2 stars so it grabs attention. If this wouldn't have happened, the rod would be 5 stars. Maybe it's shame on me that I didn't check to make sure I new part had all its components installed correctly.

Product Itself Is Great, If You Buy The Right One
Written on May 02, 2023
Read reviews, q&a to make sure I was buying the right one to fit my AK. I have an NPAP M70 which other reviews say it fits, BUT it does not and you actually need the YUGO version. It appears all the reviews are combined for both variations of the stock, which lead me to order the ZHUKOV-S. So, if you have an NPAP M70 YUGO style receiver that has the long bolt to attach the OE stock, order the YUGO version of this stock.

Failure on third round
Written on Mar 07, 2022
Swapped my Gen 4 G17 factory unit out for this one, and headed outside to my backyard range. Shooting some Federal FMJ and popped off about 4 rounds, and then click. Had a fail to feed, so I racked it and clicked - same thing. It was only after removing the mag and racking the slide did I notice the recoil spring was sticking out of the front of my gun. This prevented the gun from cycling the next round. The spring had come unseated from the front end cap of the rod and shot out the front of my slide. After removing the slide and 15-minutes with an allen key and some pliers, I was able to reset the spring properly behind the end cap. Re-installed and went back out to the range. Went through about 100 rounds with no more issues. Regardless of that, it makes me question the reliability and whether this could happen in a real world situation. Not exactly a quick fix or spare part I keep around. I'm shocked seems how Lone Wolf is such a popular and well known/ reviewed glock aftermarket parts maker.
