Great product, exactly as described. Despite reviews across multiple retailers stating that this product does not come with hardware or the spacer, I can confirm that my heat shield came with both hardware and spacer.

I’m in the middle of attempting to fit this onto a 590A1, it is certainly possible but plan on making permanent modifications to the head shield, and without care you will scratch your shotguns finish when forcibly installing. #6-32 x 7/8th cap bolt with all metal locking nuts is what was supplied in my kit. Being that my barrel is much thicker, I’ll need longer bolts to bridge the gap as squeezing the tabs as the instructions direct doesn’t allow the holes to get close enough without a sever angle misaligning the hardware holes. I have slotted two holes on one side, will likely be adding steel and re-drilling holes to drop the mounting tabs a bit further towards the magazine tube. Have confirmed there is enough clearance for this between the barrel and magazine tube.

In short, it’s possible, the guy reviewing over on brownells seems to believe this shield can simply bolt onto a thick walled barrel, maybe, but from the work I’ve done thus far, I doubt it.

Like the title says, not only can I see light through it but I can fit a piece of paper folded a few times through the gap. Going to attempt to see if I can get a replacement or refund
