Atlas Bipods V8 Atlas Bipod
This is my third and I am never unhappy with them. Sure they are expensive but when you are relying on your bipod to be stable and aide in your accuracy, you really want the very best, if you can afford it.
I like the ability to change the feet based on shooting situation.
I like that I never have to worry about scratching the finish.
I like the precision adjustments and quality craftsmanship.
I like the many well thought out features.
I can go on raving about the investment. Its like anything quality. It will be there when you really, it will last forever, it will pay for itself and you wont be disappointed.

Very Nice Inexpensive Scope
Written on Nov 03, 2017
I took a little time to decide on trying this brand that I hadn't heard of and WOW am I impressed!
I read many forums and wasn't getting a straight answer. So I decided to buy one and see for myself how could a $200 scope compare to the $1500 comparisons. Again I am impressed.
I began this search as one of the components I was acquiring for a rifle I was building my stepson as a gift.
When I received the package I was surprised by the packaging and documentation contained within. Now to be clear, I had purchased a UTG for his pellet gun - which he liked. OMG. So, I thought I would step it up a notch so that he could sit at the bench shooting distance with me. I purchased the Talos 6-24x50. In reading the propaganda, I found it to have a forever warranty. I was impressed as I am familiar with that coming on several of my high end optics.
The clarity is very equal to my Trijicon, Steiner, Zeiss, Vortex and Nikon.
The quality is very nice for a $200 scope with illuminated reticle. It is not the level of quality found on an above $800 scope.
The cheap lens covers that were included reminded me of bushnell or redfield of my childhood.
Overall, It is a great scope for the budget conscious. It has really nice glass, scratchable black tube coating and a forever guarantee. Its a great scope for the money and supposedly it is made in the USA!
Ultimately, my step son loves it and now he too can punch holes at 500M.

Leapers UTG Heavy Duty Recon 360 Bipods
I own several models of Harris and Atlas Bipods. I saw this one as I was gathering parts for a Rifle I was building for my son and thought I would give it a try. Besides, at the cost, I could throw it away 10x before I paid the price of another Atlas. Granted, it is not the same but for a 17yo, they really don't know the difference.
I on the otherhand, was very impressed. The quality of the machining and the detail was really nice. On this order I actually did buy both the Leapers and another Atlas BT10. The Leapers comes in a cheap thin plastic box like thing. The Atlas comes in a plastic bag. Hummm, can we say there is no money wasted on marketing - I'm ok with that.
When reviewing the products side by side, I am pleasantly impressed. And actually tend to favor the tight tolerances of the UTG over the Atlas. After mounting both new bipods, the Atlas giggled making noise whereas the UTG did not. The adjustment wheels to the legs are probably the weakest part and may be the first to fail. However, the little wheel doesn't really do much for the legs to begin with. Surprisingly, for the cost the UTG didn't have any visible plastic parts.
Ultimately, it comes down to budget. So, if you can live with something that will probably scratch but not cost you 10x as much, I definitely suggest buying one.
Now I bring up Harris, in comparison and in my opinion, I like the UTG much better! Sure the UTG does not have a spring loaded leg. But unless you want what you are hunting to kno
