Capitalist Pig from United States, UT Public Profile
Using this with my streamlight railmount 2 and it fits perfect. Nests the light tight against the handguard. Kind of expensive for how little material it takes though. Not sure why it costs this much.
Crisp and clean feel. Love it. I have long on one side and short on the other. Left it a 90 degree at first but can feel the short hand on the trigger finger side so i moved it to 45 degrees and its great.
Got these on a holiday sale. I've been wanting some earplug style electronic shooting buds because I HATE EARMUFFS. Anyway, I was weary because earbuds don't typically make a tight seal in my ear so Its rare I find one that works. But to my great surprise, these work! I'm very happy with them. There is quite a bit of static when hearing protection is turned on but It's not any worse than any electronic muffs I've used and the pass-through hearing is MUCH BETTER. It sounds much more natural, I cant tell more easily what direction the sounds are coming from. It provides the same level of protection as my muffs but I feel like the depth and quality of my hearing is much better. Using them to play music they do a great job... not as good as my airpods... but I don't care, cause i bought them for 1 purpose... shooting without earmuffs while still being able to hear those around me and not go deaf. Now, lets hope they last!
$100 charging handle that causes cycling issues. Looks like this doesn't happen to many people but it did me. Switched back to the original charging handle and issues resolved. Think its because the tension in the latch is so high. Loved it other than that... is definitely well made.
Seriously, I have no idea why someone would purchase a surefire instead of this... I mean, I'm sure a $600-$700 flashlight that can survive a direct nuclear blast and probably has higher testosterone levels than you might be important for someone who LITERALLY spends their day double-tapping terrorists and survives on a healthy diet of MRE's and shell casings. But lets face it... thats not you (or me). For the rest of us, there's Streamlight. I'm super impressed by this thing. It's incredibly solid, bright enough to fry the retinas of any human you point it at, and comes with all the gadgets to attach to your boomstick (except maybe an m-lok or offset adapter). It even has the little cord doohickey that attaches to a pressure plate so you can look like an operator. That alone is like $180 from surefire. C'mon. Real talk. Do you REALLY need to spend $700 on a flashlight when this thing is only like $120? NO. No you don't. If you think you do then I bet you're the same guy who thinks you need full body armor and night vision for a home invasion. Seriously though, just ask yourself "when was the last time I headshot a member of the caliphate?" Then reconsider and buy a Streamlight.
After all the positive reviews of Aimpoint i expected more. For almost $500 i would expect to at least have clear glass. Its got an obvious blue/green tint. This thing is also SUPER bulky. Even shooting with both eyes open the amount of bulk is irritating. It was definitely solidly built. Thats for sure. I cant confirm or deny its “bombproof” reputation but it certainly feels like its true. Also the elevation and windage nobs weren’t crisp at all. I had a really hard time telling if it had moved one “click” or not. Felt the same as my $35 red dot.
I bought both this and the eotech xps2. Ended up taking this back and keeping the eotech. No bulk, crystal clear glass, and i find the reticle much more useful.
