I used the mount on my SIG 1911 Target to carry an Ultradot sight.I used the grip screws only as the threaded pins didn't work well on my gun.I could have made them work but decided the grip screws gave a firm mount and that way I can take it off easily. I smoothed out the sharp ridge on the back of the mount with sandpaper and added Talon grip tape to match the Hogue L/H grip panel. Happy so far and glad I didn't have to drill holes in a nice gun.

Lyman Series 17A Target Front Sights
I use these sights on several rifles. I like the way they look and the size seems right for the rear aperture. I am currently changing the factory installed 17A on a Mossberg 144LSB to a higher model to go with a Lyman Model 90MJT rear sight.
