Been looking to get into crossbow hunting for sometime.
After extensive evaluation and reviews I decided to purchase the Sniper 370. Recognized that this was no where near the top of the offerings. However, I needed the ability to get into the sport and decide if it was desirable and and my long term involvement. Optics Planet's sale offering was a deciding factor.
The bow appears to be well constructed and was reasonably easy to assemble. I have only used it for target practice at this point in time. I was able to sight the scope in after only 4 shots at 20 yds. It was so accurate that on the 5th shot I split the previous bolt.
I do not find the trigger lacking. Scope is obviously lower end, but has initially proven accurate.
Time will tell about the bows reliability, durability, effective stopping power. I intend to use the bow in bow season for turkey, deer, and boar.
I have multiple Vortex optics, scopes, range finder, etc, and everyone has delivered as advertised and met all my expectations. Solid housing, smooth controls, good weight, and good low light for this high a power. Eye relief is satisfactory for someone wearing glasses.
Have not had a chance to do more than mount and bore sight the rifle. Scope appears well made and fits the Browning well.
Mounting presented no problems and I was able to obtain effective eye relief and proper position on the mounts and in conjugation with the rifle.
Needed a product that would allow for mounting of a tactical style light that was not 1" diameter and didn't cost an arm and a leg.
The supplemental sleeves afforded me that option. The light was easily installed, QR adjusted, and mounted to Picatinny rail.
Two issues:
1 - The felt liner inside of the tube is very flimsy and easily torn loose from the tubes.
2 - The flip mechanism spring is extremely tight and requires substantial force to disengage the lock and flip to a new position.
Overall, it should do the job.
