If you haven’t fitted stocks before or aren’t handy, have your gunsmith do it. Fits very tight. You’ll need a heat gun to soften it a bit, DON’T overdo that. Then a rubber mallet to get it in. With only stock OEM parts you’re probably done. As other reviews say, within the aftermarket parts you’re definitely going to need minor custom fitting to some degree or another. I added the Ruger BX trigger which is plastic & the tight receiver well/area squeezed it so tight it won’t always reset & you have to manually press it forward to reset half the time. I’m going to have to disassemble using the heat gun again, and grind back / file / sand the receiver well slightly to reduce pressure on the BX trigger module. Other than that, everything else about the stock is very good.
Own two for vehicles. Operating for 2-5+ years without failure. Batteries last a long time. Automatic opening. Thickest cable and body walls of any brand of portable safe, so heaviest. Only bolt down brands/models are more secure. Room for two medium or small handguns or one large & wallet+ keys.
My fault I ordered the wrong ones. I've re-ordered the standing ones. They are just as it says "Sit Shooting Stick". Light weight & easy to assemble. Did NOT come with carrying bag as shown in photos. I would keep them unassembled until you needed to start your stalk or carry them assembled VERY carefully. I wouldn't use them as a walking stick support. They are made of thin light aluminum rods with plastic hinge joints at the feet. Just as shown
The Good = Material survives a lot of hits & reseals. The Mediocre = They don’t move much when hit so you can’t tell if you’ve actually hit them. Used up to 45 caliber & they didn’t move much.
Had one for 15 years using 38 caliber target ammo in a revolver for falling plate competition. Wide field of view made it very easy to re-acquire sight picture on the series of 6 plates. But lens finally cracked when I used maximum load 357 magnum ammo for a handgun hunt. Still hunted successfully with cracked lens. Am buying another to replace it for handgun plate competitions. Largest red dot tube & fils of view available.
