works fine but don't go out of your way

I've wanted to try a dpm spring for years now and finally decided to get one to try on my new pdp. Just to give you a bit of my background i go to the range probably 4-5 times per week, i shoot A LOT. And train on multiple different weapon systems and run a lot of different drills (not just standing in place slow shooting only).
Compared to the stock pdp recoil spring, this does not reduce any felt recoil and i would say between the two, i prefer the stock recoil spring more. The dpm spring doesn't really dampen the recoil either as others have mentioned in their review. The best way i can describe it is, it feels exactly like the stock spring, except it almost feels like you get a double muzzle rise because you can feel both spring stages during recoil. Think of it as performing like a 2 stage trigger, but with a recoil spring. It wasn't really a major issue, but it did feel unnatural to me so i just put the stock recoil spring in and i am returning this because there is no advantage for the astronomical cost of this thing. With that being said, it did work 100% reliably and cycled each round without any issues.
If you do want to try this out, i would highly recommend getting the non captured version, because then you can at least adjust the spring rates and possibly get some advantage then. But this one is not worth the money because it is no better than just running the stock single stage recoil spring. Since i wasn't a fan of the dual stage feel of the spring, I will pe
