Less than half of retical can be seen. Don't think it was that thin, don't think it was there. Always heard Hawke was a good brand, this has me questioning it's reputation. Being mass produced, it may have never had an eye look through it. Possibly poor quality control,

Nice looking scope till I looked through it. Extremely "fish eyed". Replacement ordered with extremely slow service, when received,replacement scope lens very blurred. Returned for refund which has not been received yet. Don't know if these are seconds or just a bad batch of scopes. Have excellent service with Leapers 4 16x44 scopes.

Installed on my TX22 .177. Went outside to try it out at targets, there was a good bit of sun and I was shooting from my covered deck. Even with the illumination on, I could not see the retical, had to just do a best guess. So my accuracy went from one ragged hole at 25 yards to being lucky to even get a shot within 8" of center.

Great looking strong Mount BUT, looking at the bolts for the ring caps, the front set look nice and strong, deep black color as you would expect from a bolt made from a good quality steel. The bolts for the rear ring are very suspect. They had a "copper" looking color to them with a light black sheen, not the deep black that high quality steel has. As much as I wanted to use this mount, I did not trust the cap screws and returned it. I called and asked if I could get a replacement that someone would look at closely to insure the proper screws were there. Nope, can't guarantee that someone can examine another mount for replacement. I am not taking the chance to go thru the same weak looking bolts and having the hassle to return another Hawke one piece mount. If you have this mount, I would suggest you find some high grade bolts to replace the factory ones. They may break or even rust.
