This is how the bolt release should have been made from the beginning. It's nice that it includes the parts needed for an initial install versus a replacement of a currently installed bolt release.
Precision well made product

This is a well-made product with evidence of pride of workmanship. The edges are straight and precise, the magazines fit snugly, the mag release work perfectly. This is the second of these I've ordered for Stern Defense, that's good evidence of my opinion that this is a well-made product.
Big fan of Lancer mags

Having had problems with polymer feed lips on poly mags, Lancer provides the solution. Steel feed lips avoid the problem of thick poly feed lips. Lancer is now my primary magazine for 5.56 and 7.62. Plus the XM-7/277 Fury rifle was developed around the Lancer L7.
Outstanding value

For the price, it's an outstanding value. Less than half the cost of some of the other brands, with no difference in function that I can tell. Nobody shooting beside me is complaining about the covered brake I'm using.

Excellent for adjustable gas blocks

Most rails covering an adjustable gas block prevent adjustments. This system is the answer. The locking mechanism is very robust and I like the pop-up front sight. It is a bit heavier due to its construction but it's a fair trade when nothing else works. I have more than one, I'm that satisfied.
Simple small slide mount red dot

I like the added steel OPMOD protective cover that does appear to add additional protection. I really, really like the circle dot reticle over the simple red dot. I think it's now time to consider certain polymers better than aluminum for these sights. Aluminum bends, polymers don't. The only "down" is that you must remove the sight to replace the battery.
