I've carried Benchmade AFCKs for years and decided it was time for an upgrade. I chose to go with the Loco AXIS because it combines Benchmade quality with several outstanding features. The blade is made of good steel. It has a nice shape and it's unusually thick, and rugged. It opens with an elliptical thumb hole, instead of a stud, giving it a more streamlined shape. The AXIS lock is solid and provides confidence the blade won't close on your fingers during heavy use. The grip is wider than most folders and fills your hand well. This is the best knife I have owned. It's fairly large, but not uncomfortable to carry. When I can't pack a concealed handgun, the Loco AXIS is in my pocket. I think it's a great defensive weapon, but also well suited for other purposes. It's an excellent big game skinning knife. Buy one and you won't be disappointed.

I bought this spotlight for hunting hogs and varmints at night. The Streamlight Waypoint Rechargeable met all my requirements. It provides high end illumination in a relatively compact package. There are three power settings, which help conserve battery power. The battery recharges quickly. Compared to other spotlights, the Waypoint is well built and rugged. I expect it will provide many years of service. I also bought the red and green lens filters. They are rubber armored and slip over the end of the clear lens. Unlike the lens filters on other spotlights, these filters stay put and aren't likely to get lost or broken.

Shopped for quite a while looking for the best option to top my long range hunting rifle. The ATACR is built like a tank, with great optics and solid turret adjustments. The MOAR reticle is not too busy and the floating center crosshair attracts the eye. Chose the second focal plane because the reticle is large enough to see at close range and fine enough for precision aiming at distant objects. The scope comes with a sunshade and Tenabraex lens caps. Optics Planet had a great price, they shipped right away, and the cover box packaging was the best I have ever seen from a sporting goods retailer.
