What is this cover actually supposed to fit?
Written on Aug 30, 2025
Can't figure out what this cover fits. It sure didn't fit my AMG-UH1. Can't use it...does not fit. Actually...for what the sight costs..this cover..or at least a cover that fits the sight should come with the sight.

Holographic sight for home defense shotgun.

I bought this sight for my IWI Tavor TS12. I'm using a UTG Pro milspec carry handle with a Yankee Hill flip up front sight as a back up sight setup. The AMG UH-1 is built like a tank..much like my EOTec's.BUT...always a but, I have a problem with the position of the lenses in the sight. They seem to me... very exposed to damage by being so close to the edge of the frame of the sight. My EOTec's have a protective cover that offer some protection to the lenses. I do like the quick detach rail mount. I do like the easy battery access. The controls are EASY to manipulate. Unlike my EOTec's...you don't feel like your about to break your fingers trying to hit the adjustment sweet spot. The retical is a bit more refined than the retical on my EOTec's. It does actually seem more crisp to my old eyes. The last BUT I have with this particular sight is the weight. It's a bit heavy for a sight that's perched out on the end of an already almost 13 pound shotgun...that said...being a bullpup..it balances strangely well. I've also used this sight on one of my AR's...it's very much at home there. If I would have to rate this AMG UH-1 over my EOTec's...I would say the lenses are better protected on the EOTec...but the retical is much better in the AMG UH-1.

VERY poor design.

Shouldn't have to struggle to install this cover. And when I say struggle...you have no idea what it takes for me to get this thing installed, and that's with the sight off the weapon. Instalation with the sight on the weapon is actually tougher.

Great sight for old eyes that don't play well with iron sights.

Ive bought several of these Trigicon RMO6 RMR's.Sadly.. for me at 60 years old..my old eye's have a problem with iron sights and I've been switching over the these sights for my auto pistol's I've had zero problems with them. I've got over 2,000+ rounds through my FN-FNX .45 with zero issues. I highly recommend these Trigicon RMR'S for older eyes.
