I'll say from the start that I haven't used this on any kind of duty weapon or in an unforgiving environment, so I can't speak to its real world durability. However, in using it at the range including on movement-based drills and not just stationary fire, it has felt rock solid. I have the steel nut model installed on a Ruger AR-556 and it sits tightly and with no movement whatsoever. It does however has a slight color mismatch, as the Ruger is a very deep, glossy black and the Leapers is a more matte black that looks dark grey in comparison. This doesn't bother me but it's worth knowing. It can handle many attachments and seems to hold well with no flex from weight or heat. I also like the lack of rail down the top as it allows for a very easy thumb-over-bore but having it at the ends still allows for easy scope mounting and backup iron sights. Finally, it was one of the most affordable 15" models I could find from a trustworthy brand, which is always a plus.

Overall, I'd highly recommend but I cannot give a experienced recommendation for a duty weapon simply because I don't know.
