Small and Mighty

Written on Dec 31, 2024

Easy to install, easy to sight in, charges on the weapon so no need to re-zero and that blue dot is great.

This also throws plenty of light for normal engagement range, and close in makes people flinch when you turn it on. Great addition to my EDC.

Great Improvement over stock sight

Written on Jan 29, 2017

I am 64, with the normal farsightedness that comes with age. The stock sights are simply made for younger eyes. These are visible to me within moment of bad guy, and are useful after dark as well. With my eyesight, I will not be a competitive shooter with a pistol, however, with these I can carry with confidence that I can get a good sight picture and use the CZ75 PCR or B with utter confidence in the results.

Why spend more?

Use these on my rifles, from .223 to 7mm. They really hold the scope, are very solid construction and consistently return to zero. Add to that the Optics Planet return/exchange policy and this is a great combination. I don't have a well stocked gun shop in the area, so the only other option is travelling 100+ miles round trip only to have some salesman waste my time trying to sell me higher priced rings that don't work any better, not to mention the aggravation of traffic.

A shout out to the team at OP too. Both online chat and phone assistance has been top notch. Keep up the good work!

Lucid P7 Great Value

The only thing I would like is a QD mount possibility. Would like to have the option of installing a LaRue style mount. Otherwise this is a great optic for the price. The on button is in the right place, the quality is very good, eye relief is comparable to the ACOG. I haven't submerged it, nor have I done so for my other optics, will take them at their word.

I especially like the auto brightness control. Have walked around at mid-day here in Texas in August, into and out of the garage, house, workshop and in and out of dense shade from the oaks. Both eyes open and the lighted reticle remained visible.

You get what you pay for

Written on Aug 24, 2015

I regretted this purchase as I pulled it from the box. The sight is massive, far bigger than, say, my Noveske or other, more expensive sights. I have since sold it locally.

Having said that - for the price you are getting a very solid sight that does what it is supposed to do. I like two apertures, don't know how long that spring will hold out under actual conditions, and I won't be finding out.

If you are on a budget, this is probably your best choice, it not, go ahead and spend the money on something better, and more expensive.
