You get what you pay for. I took a razor knife and sandpaper to smooth out the rough lines, and it still feels like the two sides of these things were mated using plate tectonics, rather than some modern manufacturing method.
The stock "buffer tube" is a polymer number that has high points like the Andes, so it sticks pretty bad when you try to adjust.
