This is a good, complete package for a light for a carbine or rifle. It is BRIGHT and the light carries a long way out. The end cap has an on/off switch plus the input for the tape switch (because tape switches can fail). The light itself is a little bulky; however, the MLok mount will tuck it in pretty well on a normal handguard. The gizmos to attach the tape switch to a rail are not great - there is an aftermarket solution that I need to look into. That said, this is a helluva good light for the price.

If you have room on your handguard forward of your support hand (left side for right handed people) for 5-slots of Picatinny rail, this is very reasonable weapon light. Activation can be pressure on or constant on. There is a flip up guard for the switch for travel. The light doesn’t weigh a lot, and it detaches/attaches very easily. It is not as powerful as a top end Streamlight, but it is adequate unless you need to light something up 80+ yards out. It is very good for the price IMHO. I think I have 3 of these now…

I returned this because it does not connect securely to a Picatinny rail. It relies on a plastic tab acting as a spring, and there was significant “play” in the connection. You could/should not use this thing as a forward grip.

Sturdy. Padding all around. Good 2-way zipper. 3 very solid velcro pad/strap tie downs plus 2 straps with Velcro on ends so you can secure your rifle. Good, adjustable shoulder strap. 2 large mesh pockets on inside “lid” for whatever. Outside is smooth and uncluttered. Plenty of room vertically for a scope or other optic. Inside dimensions: 10-1/2” High 37-1/2” Long 3-1/4” deep

This is a great handguard for any lightweight build. The barrel nut and handguard attachment is unusual but rock solid. Just be aware that there are only short sections of top rail fore and aft. No problem IMHO unless you want to put a thumb activated light switch up there.

I got 2 of these. On one, the gas key was misaligned and the BCG would not slide easily onto and off of the gas tube in the upper. The other passed that test and so did a third BCG so the problem was the one Faxon BCG carrier key. On the other Faxon BCG the edges of the hole for the ejector were rough and raised on one side. It visibly scratched fired brass. Gas key staking was iffy on both. Headspace was fine with Faxon barrels (the reason I got the Faxon BCGs). Finish wearing off contact areas of BCG very quickly.

Trigger pull about 4.5 pounds according to my Lyman gauge. First stage is longer, second stage is breaking glass rod smooth. Virtually no over-travel. Installation easy - comes with a slave pin to hold disconnect to trigger before pushing pin through.

This upper is nicely finished inside and out. Looks great. Functions fine. I have never understood what situation a forward assist was for - failure to chamber so you can shove it in anyway? No thanks! Very clear slot numbers on Picatinny rail. Lined up perfectly with handguard.

The main compartment is well padded all the way around - top, bottom, short sides, and of course big surfaces. The pad separating 2 rifles is thin but feels strong. The velcro tie downs are nice, and they are just long enough to wrap around a buffer tube to really secure an AR. A 41” long conventional rifle fits. The 2 pockets for handguns are in another compartment between the main rifle compartment and the 3 outside pockets. The handgun pockets are big and close very well with velcro all the way across the mouth of each. There is plenty of padding on either side. The outside pockets are NOT specialized for AR-15 magazines (which often seems to be the case). Instead, they have a front-to-back divider, a cinch strap near the mouth, and an up/down tensioning strap outside. In other words, you can secure whatever you can fit in them. The middle pocket is big enough for earphones and something else. There’s molle strapping outside where the pockets are on the front in case you haven’t made this thing heavy enough yet. The shoulder strap is wide and nicely padded. I’m probably going to take the backpack straps off, but it’s nice to have them just in case. All of the zippers appear heavy duty. Velcro is the strong kind. Material seems rugged and there isn’t a single stray thread (sorry - pet peeve).
The only downside is that if you put 2 long guns, 2 handguns, magazines, Ammo, etc. in one container, it is going to weigh a ton.
