This is a Red Blob sight not a Red Dot

The dot was elongated and had star burst around the blob. I threw it away.

I have two of these now and really like them. I have them mounted to AR15s. They have a large bright sight picture and are easy to get on target quickly. I prefer them over a Sig scope I have on an AR as well because the sight window is clear and wide. The controls work well also. The only negative is the lens caps don't stay on well.

This thing is a beast, big and heavy

I put it on a tactical shotgun and took it back off. I really like it but can't figure out what to mount it on because it's so dang big. Other than size it has 4 modes and with astigmatism in my eye the cross and circle are much easier to put on target than a plain red dot. I also like the two color options. It seems really well made. Did i mention it's really big? I'm talking 4x the size of my Sig Romeo Zero.

After installing this handguard I have three issues that would keep me from recommending it. I installed it on a DPMS AR. The first thing I noticed was the powder coating had pretty bad orange peel in several spots. Not real attractive. The second issue was that when tightening the screws I alternated back and forth between the screws and they just kept turning. Not stripping out turning but the metal was soft enough the metal was flexing which may have led to the third complaint in that the picatinny rails would not line up. It looks good but accuracy and details mater.

I really don't like when people just say something is trash without giving details. Having said that, this thing is trash. Let me tell you why. The base and housing are reasonably nice but once I installed the battery and turned it on I saw an elongated dot. I moved it around and it seamed to round out the lower on the glass the dot moved but even then it was a huge dot and unusable. There was always a star burst looking splatter pattern around the dot. I wouldn't mount it to a squirt gun.
I would recommend another brand

I needed an FDE scope for a Browning X bolt. The scope is solid and the glass is clear but after mounting it I started manipulating the adjustments. The zoom ring was initially tight but loosen up quickly. The side focus was very tight and after 20 rotations hasn't loosened up very much. I have 10 to 15 Vortex Scopes and have had very good success with them.
