I paid extra for hand selected and am very pleased with the quality. Once I was spending over $3K I felt the extra couple hundred were worth the comfort level. I don't see any blemish (first NV I've ever looked through). Maybe one dust particle low at 6 o'clock but does not impact performance. So from my untrained eye it looks great! The unit itself came as advertised and I have no complaints. The accessory mount and headgear are not up to par with the quality of the unit so I plan to purchase a helmet and quality mount. In fact i thought it was supposed to come with a helmet mount (which it didn't), it only came with headgear and a mount for that. I still give it 5 stars because the optic itself is what really mattered to me and for that alone I can't find any faults for this my first NV entry level optic. Delivered in ~4 days.
