After contemplating any of a dozen different sights on Amazon, watching YouTube, and reading blogs/forums, i decided to go with the eo tech xps2-2. I haven't shot at more than 100 yards so the dots havn't been validated with the ammo I've been using per se, but at 50 yards it looks good.
I have it on an x95, and again while the 2 dot might be overkill for the rifle it allows for a frame of reference and it wasn't fuzzy with my astigmatism.
It's expensive, but you get what you pay for
Installation is pretty straight forward, it installed nicely using the rxarms x95 grip, which i had to slightly modify to house the also aftermarket trigger.
First to remove the stock trigger, you need to remove the barrel. After that, use a punch to push the pin out. When it doesn't move, get a bigger hammer, don't worry, it'll be fine. If you do it with the rifle upside down, the spring isn't likely to fly into a random direction. There is only one way to install it, and I don't get how the set screw effects trigger pull. Sure it effects the distance, but I don't see how it effects the pull strength. Even with the set screw all the way up, my trigger was incredibly forward, almost making me question if I can get my finger in there with gloves. I contacted geissele well over a week a week ago, and called them 4 days after emailing. When I called he said he'd have to check. I can't believe it's been over a week and counting for an email inquiry.
