I was really excited to order this product because I do a lot shooting on a variety of different surfaces and the deployable spikes would really make a difference. When I received that product I noticed that the machining on the majority of the surfaces was not so great especially the quick detach lever which had some sharp edges. I overlooked this detail because I bought this bipod for function, not beauty. The problem is that when I mounted the bipod the entire rifle was canted to the left. I checked the feet, the spikes, and the legs. It turns out that the backstop for each leg was in a different place. This resulted in one leg coming back noticeably more than the other which caused the rifle to cant to the side quite a bit. Because I can't get the rifle to sit level with this bipod it is useless to me. A more adventurous person may be willing to bend these backstops to make it work but I'd much rather pay for something that works out of the box.
