Review for
Norotos PVS-15/18/21 Dovetail Adapter
I didn't do any research. I just googled for an adapter that would convert a standard issue norotos Rhino Swing Arm from the 'bayonet' style J-arm to a dove-tail. Unfortunately, this isn't the right part for that. The side that interfaces with the Rhino mount would have to be two circular holes, not interface pictured above. This adapter is meant for a Norotos Rhino II. So, if you have the standard Army-issued mount, like I do, it will not work. It's totally my fault, and otherwise, the adapter seems very well built/rugged, hence my positive rating. I'm going to hold onto it because it's not worth going through the process of returning, and I might have a use for it or a buddy that does, one day.

33* offset does NOT fit all ACOGs
Written on Nov 09, 2020
Would I recommend this product? Not for someone who has a TA01 variant of the ACOG (the 4x magnifier without fiber optic). Otherwise, I would say that this part is of excellent quality.
My Acog is a 4x32 with crosshairs and tritium without the fiberoptic solar powered chevron that many have. I wanted a left-handed offset mount for my trijicon RMR, and I intended to mount it close-up, under the ocular lens (shooter's side) of the Acog. I decided on this product with the 33* angle, because the summary description says that it was specifically designed for the ACOG. However, I can attest that this does NOT fit under the shooter's side of the acog. The mount makes contact with the acog's ocular lens fastener bosses and will not secure properly to the picatinny rail as a result. It will fit under the objective lens. I've reordered the same product, except with a 45* offset hoping that it will fit as desired. Hopefully, the 45* mount will fit without any contact and allow the RMR to be mounted on the shooter's side of the acog.
On the objective side of the scope, the lever is pretty long and therefore prevents the RMR from being mounted as close as possible to the ACOG mount.
I tried grinding down the part of the mount that was interfering with the ACOG bosses, but there are 2 problems with that. First, it would also require grinding into the RMR itself, which does not have the room to be ground down. Second, any hope of waterproofing the RMR is gone with this approac
