I didn't want to fiddle with adding a magnifier to my prism red dot (I have mild astigmatism). Too heavy and flip back and forth all the time, just no. I tried the Sig Tango MSR 1-8 on another rifle and was surprised that my view was clear even without my precription glasses. The unit is solid, well machined, and includes a high quality mount with leveling marks and torque specs written right where they should be. Why don't other manufacturers do this? It's a no-brainer. I got this 1-6 and it's smooth sailing. An Ebay seller has great 3D molded ARD / killfash for the 1-6 and 1-8 for around $20 that fits right under the lay-flat flip caps. This thing is a beautiful functional beast - it's not too heavy but you need some rail space. I'm so glad I didn't go with the magnifier/dot setup. This is what I wanted.
This is absolutely stunning technology in a very lightweight, small form device. This unit out-performs every other ATPIAL-type device I've ever seen. The distance you can reach and the strength and power of the laser and IR light is shocking. Accepts an ATPIAL compatible remote such as the Surefire SR-D-IT. Game changer.
This was not the easiest thing I've ever changed on my rifle - I got the tool to compress the Delta ring but it still took me 15 minutes of wiggling for it to seat properly. BUT, once it is on correctly, it is very solid and will not move. I love it. I had the original Magpul handguard on a Colt 6920 forever, keeping me from mounting top rail ir/laser gear, and now I have the rifle I've always wanted it to be. Highly recommend the Troy handguard. I got the enhanced version which means the top rail extends to the receiver, giving the illusion of a monolithic rail.
This trigger works beautifully in my Colt LE-6920. I love the crisp break after the predictable first stage of the 2-stage trigger.
I tried to install a second purchase into a PSA JAKL however, and the SSA-X w/Lightning Bow (wide body) trigger finger-bow was too wide to slide down and seat properly. First time I've seen that. I will have to return it and try another variation.
