I really liked these binoculars. I really did. But as I sat on the back patio, watching birds at the feeder and in the backyard, focusing at different distances became a real issue. The focus wheel would show resistance to the point you couldn’t move it further unless you backed off your focus significantly, and try to run through it again. Needless to say it made these binoculars unusable in the field. I don’t believe it was a design flaw, but I must have received a defective sample. I’m not sure if I would buy them again, even though I love them for their optical quality because I’m not sure at what percentage this defect might reappear.
