Ameriglo Glock I-Dot sight

Written on Aug 07, 2016

As we all know, the stock sights on Glocks are not very good. I have replace all three of mine over the years, and have settled on these as my favorites. The front sight is easy to see at both day and night. The front night sight is easily found at night. The front sight is easily replace IF you have the right tool, a small nut driver, plus Locktite. The rear sight is easily replaced if you have a sight pusher. Avoid tapping the front sight into place, you can damage the tritium vial. You may need to file a little bit on the rear sight base and/or the slide dovetail for a good fit. Go slow, a little at a time, I do it while watching TV. Then also use Locktite.

JP Enterprises Buffer Spring

Written on Feb 28, 2016

This spring functions as well as the stock buffer spring, but quieter and smoother? Maybe, hard to tell, but JP Enterprises does make quality products, so happy to have it and have the original as an emergency spare.

Bayonet Lug Accessory Rail

Written on Feb 28, 2016

Have this accessory rail on two ARs now. Does require the removal of the sling swivel, easy to drill out the pin. Lets me put a white light and laser in front of the forend, out of the way of a forward grip. Instead of putting a light on the side, it keeps the profile vertical, narrow. Two locking screws lock it tight to the lug.

Angled Foregrip MLOK

Written on Feb 28, 2016

Have used this on a Magpul MLOK forend for two ARs, makes the AR much more comfortable, ergonomic. Have only used the MLOK system, never the KeyMod system. KeyMod may be just as good, but for simplicity, chose the MLOK, which works fine for accessorizing.

CT Green for Ruger LCR, Jan., 2016

Written on Feb 06, 2016

First, this is another top notch product from Crimson Trace. I bought this after buying their new green laser grip for the S & W J-frame, which is 5 stars. This is only 4 stars because this grip does not incorporate their "ShockStop" design and material. And the grip is just a little too much longer than the previous LCR grip, IMO. But you can't beat the green laser for visibility.

CT Green for S & W J-frame w/ShockStop

Written on Feb 05, 2016

Typical 1st rate product. Before I purchased, Optics Planet assured me that this was the latest model, despite an older picture. Grip is slightly longer than before, helps to recoil control. Extra absorbent material (ShockStop) high in the backstrap also helps. And free batteries yearly for life. I've some CT grips over 5 years old, working fine.
