Ok for the money

I’m colorblind so I only rock green dots, so naturally I found virdian optics appealing. The first one they sent me would shut off every other round mounted on my mark iv. Viridian was quick to replace it and the new one has been functioning fine. I also have one on a Glock 17 that has been going strong for about 1k rounds. I do however think the glass and dot clarity of my green 407c is better and worth the extra price. I’d rather have a virdian over a lot of green dot options out there, but not all.

This will destroy your magazines eventually

While it works great at first and definitely works to make dropping a mag easier, it also will chew into your plastic mags where they catch the release. It’s a metal on plastic contact instead of the plastic on plastic like the oem mag release. Metal beats plastic so after about 25-30 cycles most of my mags were so chewed up that they wouldn’t catch the release, and fell right out of the gun. Nothing like throwing away 8 25$ Glock mags. Don’t buy this or any other metal or “milled” extended mag release.

You can always count on streamlight quality. Functions great and very bright.

solid construction, looks great with a 5x magnifier.

I got this since I’m a Viridian fan and had not seen it before. It replaced a Romeo 5 green dot and while the dots are comparable without magnification, the Venta dot looks much more crisp than the Romeo. Another quality green dot from viridian. All they need to do is include a low mount option and it’d be perfect.
