Excellent handguard
Written on Apr 26, 2026
Installed on a converted Saiga 7.62 to replace an aluminum Midwest Industries handguard which got too hot after a couple mags. I like where the picatinny starts, allowing a foregrip to be further up while still maintaining a smooth spot to hold the old fashioned way. The top rail is cut to allow your irons to function as intended. Win win for a sub $100 handguard to cleanly fit Saigas. It does not include the bolt to interlock with the receiver but that's an easy find at any hardware store.

Perfect fit for Saiga 7.62

I really like this handguard -- fits the lines really well and is entirely bolt on. Hard to find clean looking handguards for saigas for less than $200-300. Definitely recommend!

Easy fit for Saiga conversion
Written on Apr 04, 2026
Replaced a wobbly tapco stock on a Saiga 7.62 conversion. Prefer metal but this Magpul polymer is very sturdy and relatively lightweight. I found a more suitable screw for the mount and used blue thread lock. After hundreds of rounds it’s still holding very securely with no wobble. Still debating going m4 style stock for adjustability but I have no regrets with this one!
