Machining Burrs

Machining Burs on the locating channel and the threaded hole adds almost an entire millimeter to the height of the octagon barrel base when installed. This lifts the barrel base height enough to contact the slide and stop the action. Not sure if I should file down and risk barrel misalignment or send back.

I ordered this Tandemkross compensator, and it arrived with shipping package intact, but the product wrapper and product were marred. I sent it back with a description and picture of the clean shipping package and pictures of the marred product and product packaging. It took a little over a month but Optics Planet processed the return and shipped me a new compensator which arrived undamaged.
Albeit, the second shipment came in an un-insulated envelope, which peaked my anxiety when it arrived.
In the end I did receive a new condition product without handling damage.
