These are so much better than the slick stock panels. I'm not a big fan of finger grooves on grip panels but these are spaced out enough that they're ok to my big hands. Someone with small hands might hate them.
This is my current favorite. Grippy without being aggressively rough. Easy to grab and hold onto without the tendency to grab and rub that some of the more aggressive textured hard plastic grips have. The only negative is it can lightly stick to some gloves that have rubbery palms on oppressively hot days if left in the sun (not a serious concern unless your rifle is laying on a table for awhile in the summer). Despite that, I've never had the coating peel. I keep spare optic batteries and any allen keys that I would need to remove/tighten my optic mounts in the compartment.
Works well though the final result sits pretty high. It has so many different screws and mounting patterns that it's a bit overwhelming. Documentation included is semi-helpful but really you'll have to just start sliding an optic around and playing with different studs until you find the right combination of stud and screw holes.
I've tried a number ambi selectors, from very cheap to reasonable, and of the six different ones I currently have this one is by far my current favorite. It toggles easily but still has a satisfying snap. The larger barrels on the ends make it easy to feel with winter gloves but stay out of the way barehanded. The only downside, which is tiny, was that the screws don't come with thread locker applied but that's easy to fix.
I've only shot one 2gun match and one range day with this since I installed it. Installation of the buffer was easy with the only difficulty being driving out the roll pin in my bolt to remove the weight. For testing I ran 112 rounds of a mix of 124gr AAC and Belom along with a 33rd mag that I loaded with random range pickup rounds and had no malfunctions other than a few of the range trash rounds failed to fire which is expected with rounds picked up off the ground. I noticed very little if any noticeable difference to the felt rearward recoil but that was already very minimal in a 16" PCC that was NOT built to be light. Where this really shined was the forward motion of the bolt returning to battery which was much less jarring and had my dot falling right back on target where previously I had noticed a tendency to drive down from the heavy bolt slamming forward. In my match I was easily able to run a plate rack with basically no vertical correction to aim and I had no malfunctions (104 rounds of 124gr AAC). The only downside is that this greatly increases the force needed to run the charging handle. The additional force is really only present for the very first part of pulling the handle back while the roller delay is engaged and is honestly not really noticeable under pressure when I did mag change drills but I could easily see it causing some difficulty if you're using a small charging handle or trying to run the handle in an awkward position with poor leverage. It gave m
