I have purchased several different brands of holsters with various types of retention systems but the Safariland ALS retention is by far my most trusted retention system and the one I trust my life with. The thumb drive retention is natural to engage and facilitates a fast smooth draw with or without gloves on. My first round on target is not only faster but also more accurate because how the retention system naturally sets up a proper grip on the firearm.
