This finger indexer/stop is built so ruggedly I would expect it to survive extreme impacts. I would bet the handguard it was mounted to would fail before this product. I have never been disappointed with Arisaka's products and consider them to be of excellent build and finish quality. This indexer is the perfect size and is practical for a barrier stop. I chose this product to go on a lightweight build where control is imperative but I want a small silhouette. I don't really have any cons for this product. It does what it says and does it extremely well.

I have trust that this product will outlast me on this build.

This is my second Ragna as I also have a 17.5" handguard that I've used for the last couple years. The handguard is super light weight, pretty rigid for it's design and slim in the hand. Unfortunately, if you're looking for that suppressor tuck, most suppressors won't fit underneath this handguard. The inner diameter of 1.35" doesn't leave enough room for my suppressors. So I bought this reduced length handguard to fit with my suppressors.

I am quite pleased with the performance so far as it has taken a few bumps and bangs like a champ. I wouldn't go running it over or anything, but for incidental impacts against barriers and walls it will hold up nicely. The only real gripe is that there isn't a lot of surface area to protect from the heat of a hard run barrel. Even after a single mag, the heat is enough that gloves are recommended. To be honest, while this is a great handguard and wonderful for aesthetics and weight savings, I wouldn't consider using this on any hard use rifles.

I purpose built my rifle to save weight and this helped accomplish that brilliantly. At just under 12oz with hardware, You would be hard pressed to find another full length handguard at this weight and rigidity. For what it is, I give it 5 stars.

The fit is perfect and right out of the box, the selector is less stiff but still firm. A good upgrade for any MP5. The extension is a welcome addition. I do wish the right side was more AK like so I could use my index finger to manipulate the selector easier.
