Slender but sturdy and feels good on my hand. This is my third one. If I need another hand guard it will be a Geissele.
Be careful tightening the titanium barrel nut. This is my third Geissele hand guard. I spalled the wrench holes on the first one even though I was using the Geissele brand wrench. Was still able to complete the install with a few taps from a rubber hammer.
The glass clarity is excellent. Light transmission excellent.
The crosshair reticle is small and very fine. That is great for precision shots at 4x magnification, but, It is hard to see with old eyes except on a white background. Younger eyes may see it just fine.
The green illumination is useless outdoors except in very low light conditions. Doesn't stand out well even on cloudy days.. However the green reticle is excellent indoors. My other Credo has red illumination and is slightly better outdoors.
Over all very good quality but I would not recommend it to anyone who has vision problems.
Nicely done with great glass ... The big bold segmented circle is a big plus at 1X... However, it is so big and bold at 8X that scanning for targets down range is somewhat hindered .. as with most donut reticles. Situational awareness is much better at 3X to 5x, as with all lpvo scopes.
The only other minus is that the locking turrets lift too easily. There seems to be no detent.
It is heavy, but I knew that when I ordered it. I love it at 1X. The center (dot) is tiny but the segmented circle is bold and bright enough that seeing the center is not really necessary at close range.
As for brightness ... Bright enough for me. The red is best in bright conditions. Turning it off in extremely bright conditions works great because the circle is so bold. For my old eyes green works best most of the time. I love having the choice.
I recommend it highly as an lpvo to be used primarily at close to moderate ranges. It is also excellent from 3X to 5X .. the best I have seen so far. In fact, this is the best lpvo I own.
If you fancy yourself a DMR I recommend a scope with a less obstructive reticle .. Just my opinion.
Great improvement (for cheek weld) over my M4 stock. OD green is a little darker than I expected but still looks good. Some have had trouble installing it. Pull straight down on the whole adjustment lever .. not just one end like the M4 stock.
