Review for
Steiner GS3 2-10x 42mm Rifle Scope
This scope is not illuminated reticle. I just received it. Glass in daylight is crystal clear. W/E turrets are a light click, precise but still soft feeling. The threaded covers have a long thread but themselves are shallow. There is the slightest of wiggle on the eye focus piece but eye focus works great & zoom is great. Both stiff to rotate which isn't a bad thing. However I bought this scope waiting months to afford it believing it had an illuminated reticle for low to very low light hunts on hogs & coyotes. Coyotes especially don't give many second chances at a shot. Crystal clear glass is a must, but I don't have time to be messing with a parallax adjustment & broad zoom range as the previous $400 Vortex scope had. It's glass was just a bit grainy compared to this Steiner in daylight. I will check the Steiner for low light clarity tonight. I may send it back due to the non illumination issue, or if it doesn't have great low light clarity.
